Join us in praying for our church, one another, and for those who need Christ! Please include these prayer points that are based on Jesus powerful prayer in John 17:
1. Pray for every believer to experience THE GLORY OF GOD: Jesus prayed that we would sense the Glory of God (John 17:22).
· Pray for an outpouring of God's glory in His church as people acknowledge Him, not only with their lips but also with their lives.
· Pray for our services that a spirit of worship to manifest itself in our church.
· Pray that our music, message, and ministry will be anointed by the Holy Spirit.
· Pray for the power of the Holy Spirit in every service and each ministry.
· Pray for revival in our church and in churches across our nation and the world.
· Pray that those leading the services will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit.
2. Pray that believers will know, accept, and obey the Word of God: Jesus prayed that we would follow the Word of God (John 17:8).
· Pray that God's Word will be preached continually in our church.
· Pray that believers would have a hunger for the Word of God, Prayer and Fellowship with other believers.
· Pray for spiritual understanding and discernment among the people.
· Ask God to bring people to be fully obedient to His Word.
3. Pray for unity in our church: Jesus prayed that we would be united in the Love of God (John 17:21).
· Pray for humility among the church's leaders and the body of believers.
· Pray that a spirit of humility and repentance will rise up among all believers.
· Ask God to break down all racial, cultural, and denominational walls.
· Pray that Christ would bring to no effect all division, discord, strife, anger, gossip, stander, evil speaking, lying and complaining.
4. Pray for joy in the hearts and lives of believers: Jesus prayed that we would experience the Joy of God (John 17:13)
· Pray that joy would fill the hearts and lives of God's people as they become more involved in the mission of the body of Christ using their God given gifts and abilities for the Lord.
· Ask God to reveal our church's potential to our leaders and the people. Ask God to bring joy to our leaders and the people of our church.
· Pray that our church will reach its full kingdom potential.
5. Pray for protection from the attacks of the enemy: Jesus prayed that we would be protected from the evil one (John 17:15)
· Pray that believers would resist the attacks of the enemy against worship services and hindrances to the gospel.
· Pray that our Pastors and Leaders will not be distracted from the work of the ministry.
· Pray that the body of Christ would have discernment against the deception of the enemy.
· Pray that every believer would put on the full armor of God.
6. Pray for souls to be won to Christ weekly: Jesus prayed that we would go forth in the Mission of God (John 17:17-18).
· Ask God to give our leaders a vision for reaching the lost.
· Pray for the workers for the harvest-for believers who will consistently share their faith.
· Pray that local churches in our denomination and beyond across this country would reach out to the lost in their communities.
· Pray for people to be receptive to an invitation to our church.
· Pray that people would be saved through worship services and outreach ministries.
· Pray that believers would have the boldness to invite friends to church.
7. Pray for those who will come to Christ through the ministry of our church: Jesus prayer for those who would believe in Him because of us (John 17:20)
· Pray for each person to be reached will be receptive to Christ, to the invitation of believers to come to Christ and His church.
· Pray that every person will experience the love of Christ through the church and with believers.
· Pray for each new believer to be connected quickly to the body of Christ.
· Pray that entire families will follow those who believe and be connected to the body of Christ. |
